What’s Going on at the Quilters’ Faire in Palm Desert?

Those of you living in the Palm Desert area—or those of you visiting this beautiful desert area—have a great quilt shop in your midst: Quilters’ Faire. This quilt shop has an open airy feeling with its high windows and ceilings. The store is well laid out, so there is room to walk around to see the wonderful fabrics and other products.  There are lots of beautiful fabrics everywhere and the high walls lend themselves to being adorned with many quilts. We really loved this store when we visited it. Besides having irresistible, luscious fabrics, we found the staff knowledgeable and enthusiastically helpful. This friendly shop felt like a true quilting boutique.

Currently as you walk into the store, you will see two JWD Publishing flower quilts by Mary Hoover and Barbara Persing: Cone Flower Garden and Autumn’s Arrivals (featuring sunflowers).

Huge Alex Anderson trunk show heading to North Carolina

JWD Publishing | November 2, 2009

Join Alex Anderson on Saturday, November 7 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. Alex will inspire you with her quilt stories and journey. She’ll share ideas and provide a fun, whirlwind commentary of one quiltmaker’s journey. You’ll love spending a day with Alex! 

JWD Publishing is sending nearly a dozen of Alex’s quilts to this event, so that you can see Alex’s fun-filled quilts up close and personal. This showing will include Welcome Home, Cherry Delight, Holiday Lights, Popsicle Treat, Honey Bears,  Star Celebration, Star Flowers, Baskets & Blossoms, Spring Fling, and Bubblegum Dreams. Patterns will be available for all of her trunk-show quilts.
