Hi Sandy,
You are right on. It is so much fun when people begin to see how color works. It's really very natural and easy to learn if we give ourselves permission to learn. I am so glad you feature color in your classes, as it makes such a difference in the outcome of a quilt. Thanks for your kind words. I'm working on next weeks blog this weekend in between those other activities that pop up. Cheers to color!

Hi Connie,
Thanks for your comments. I really appreciate hearing from you. Also, many thanks for sharing my blog information with your group in Austin. I hope it will help them. Years ago I came to teach in Austin and the quilters were wonderful. In fact, that visit brought tortilla soup into my life, which I now make during winter. Happy coloring!

Hi Joen,
I just saw on the SAQA Yahoo list about your new blog. It's wonderful! Thank you.

The Potomac Fiber Arts Guild (DC area) has a couple of color study groups. In mine, we're following the exercises in COLOUR, A WORKSHlOP FOR ARTISTS AND DESIGNERS by David Hornung. I look forward to adding your exercises to his.

Joen thank you so much for this blog. I've shared it with the Austin Modern Quilt Guild. Some of them are struggling with color selections and I gave them my recommendation about how wonderful your 3-in- 1 color tool was for me. And then your blog showed up as a link on Quiltart list. I really appreciate your sharing of your research.

Joen, you've taken on my favorite subject! Can't wait to see your next 'episode'. In all my classroom teaching I admit I spent an inordinate amount of time on color but it's so much fun to see folks 'get it' and start experimenting, isn't it? Congratulations on all you've achieved over the years!

I was thrilled when a fellow member of the Contemporary QuiltArt Association posted the information about your new blog. I'm also chairing the Challenge position for another guild (Block Party Quilters - Sammamish) and the challenge I selected centers around the emotions of colors. I already recommended your 3 in 2 Color Tool for analyzing and identifying color schemes. Now I will be sure to let them know about your blog.

I, also, look forward to following your blog.
